Is Xylitol safe for dogs?
Toxic — emergency

Xylitol is found in sugar-free gum, some peanut butters, candies, baked goods, and medications. Even a small amount triggers a rapid, severe drop in blood sugar and can cause liver failure. It is one of the most acutely toxic substances for dogs.
