Is Onions safe for dogs?

Toxic — emergency

Onions destroy red blood cells and cause haemolytic anaemia in dogs.

All forms of onion — raw, cooked, powdered — contain compounds that damage red blood cells. Powdered or dehydrated forms are more concentrated. Symptoms may be delayed by several days.
