Is Peas safe for dogs?

Garden and green peas are non-toxic and make a fine occasional treat, whether fresh, frozen or thawed. Serve them plain with nothing added, and avoid tinned peas, which usually contain added salt. Keep portions small, and note that dogs with kidney issues may need to avoid peas as they contain purines.
