Is Cottage cheese safe for dogs?

Safe for dogs

Plain, low-fat cottage cheese is safe for most dogs in small amounts, being lower in lactose than many dairy foods.

Plain, low-fat (or fat-free) cottage cheese can be a gentle, protein-rich treat and is naturally lower in lactose than milk, so many dogs tolerate it well. Serve only a spoonful or two, unsalted and unflavoured, with no added onion, garlic or chives. Keep portions small, as too much adds unnecessary fat and sodium, and skip it entirely if your dog is dairy-sensitive or prone to loose stools.
