Is Corn safe for dogs?

Corn kernels are non-toxic and are a common ingredient in many dog foods. Plain cooked kernels removed from the cob are fine as an occasional treat, served with no butter, salt or seasoning. Never let a dog have the cob itself — it is a serious choking and intestinal-obstruction hazard that often requires surgery to remove.
