Is Butternut squash safe for dogs?

Safe for dogs

Yes — cooked, plain, deseeded butternut squash is safe and good for dogs.

Butternut squash is a dog-friendly vegetable and a good source of fibre, beta-carotene and potassium. Cook it until soft, remove the skin and seeds, and serve it plain with no butter, oil, salt or seasoning. Mash or cut it into small pieces and feed in moderation — it can help firm up loose stools thanks to its fibre.
